Turning a blog post into social posts means writing a short post for each network you use, each linking to the article, and publishing them once the article is live. Done by hand it is easy to skip. The DigitalShyft client portal does it automatically, with checks that decide whether a post can go out or needs a person first.

What does it mean to turn a blog post into social posts?

A blog promotion is a set of short posts, one per network, that each give a reader a reason to open the article. A good one states the article's main point in plain words and links to it, rather than repeating the title.

Most of the effort in a blog goes into the writing. An article that is published and never shared reaches mostly the people who already visit your site.

Why does one share per article fall short?

Networks differ. LinkedIn tolerates a longer post, X keeps posts short, and Instagram and TikTok do not make a link in a caption clickable, so those posts point to the link in your bio. One block of text pasted everywhere reads wrong on most of them.

Timing matters too. A post that goes out before the article is live sends readers to a page that does not exist yet. It is the most common mistake in automatic sharing.

What can go wrong when promotion is automatic?

Four things: a link posted too early, a claim in the post that the article never made, an image that looks wrong, and a post that sounds nothing like the business. Automation without checks makes all four happen faster.

A sound system therefore checks the post against the article, checks the image, follows each network's limits, and lets a person edit or stop a post.

How does the DigitalShyft client portal promote blog posts?

When a new blog post goes live on your site, whether DigitalShyft wrote it or you did, the portal writes posts that link to it for each network you use. For articles DigitalShyft delivers, the posts are drafted at delivery and held. For articles you publish yourself, the portal spots them in your sitemap, which it reads once a day. Posts already on your site when it first looks are not promoted.

The posts are written from the article itself, using your brand voice and Social Playbook. For delivered articles the link is added only when the article appears in your sitemap, which the portal checks every hour. Instagram and TikTok posts say link in bio.

Blog promotions are extra, on top of your posting plan.

Which checks decide whether a post goes out?

A post publishes once the article is live, if it passes an accuracy check and an image check. A second AI grades what the first one wrote, and the post is held if it invents a fact, scores low on accuracy, or sends readers to any site other than the article or yours. Any AI image must pass the image check, and the post must meet each network's rules.

Anything that fails stays a draft and waits for our team, who are alerted. Until the article is live you can edit or cancel the posts on your Social tab, and a post you change goes out as you wrote it. A thumbs down from you or from us also stops automatic publishing.

Frequently asked questions

Do blog promotion posts go out without my approval?
They are the one kind of post that can. Once the article is live, they publish by themselves only if they pass the accuracy and image checks. Until then you can edit or cancel them, and anything that fails a check waits for a person. Posts from your monthly calendar and posts you create yourself are approved before they go out.
What if I write the blog post on my own site?
The portal reads your sitemap once a day and writes posts for new articles it finds. Articles already on your site when it first looks are recorded and not promoted.
Can I change or stop the posts?
Yes. Until the article is live you can change or cancel them on your Social tab. A post you edit goes out as you wrote it, and your edit teaches the writer what you prefer.
What if the portal is not publishing to my accounts?
If you have no connected accounts for the portal to publish to, the finished captions are emailed to you once the article is live. They also sit on your Content tab with copy buttons.
